The ride is a comin'

Soon (3 weeks) my mom will have her ride. 100 miles around Lake Tahoe, to help find a cure for some blood cancers. Hence the title, "100miles closer."

We will be staying in California, and I am coming with her!! My grandma will be coming also, or so I hear. I will miss about 3 days of school for this ride. It will be terrific!! Uhh... errrr.... I mean, awww im gonna miss the last 3 days of school im so sad ;).

Good, and bad

Hey, me and my mom did a fundraiser around here at yet another Jewel Osco. I do think that these fundraisers are a bit fun! I enjoyed it a lot. All this raising, we're almost to the amount needed! All this should be done soon though.

Also, my mom has rode quite a lot lately a few days ago she rode somewhere around 65 miles. Hopefully she will be ready for the 100 miles to come soon!

Also, my mom is riding to help the team's honered hero Will Kelley. Sadly, he is back in the hospital now. Will is fighting a colon infection in the ICU. I wish him luck.

Jewel is fun!

So, me and my mom went to Jewel on Sunday. The people there were quite nice, some of them told us their stories about some family members that have recovered or have been diagnosed with leukemia, and lymphoma, and other blood cancers that are totally unmemorable, due to the longness of the word. A few of the stores customers thanked us for doing this to help with funding the treatment of these blood cancers.

We were looking at this one shop in Libertyville where I saw a cool bike but, it was pretty expensive. We may put it on layaway, when I get back from my trip to Florida. My mom has been riding her new bike. It's really light she says. My mom is riding 35 miles in Frankfort IL.

Another raiser

Well, my mom and me had a fundraiser with some help from her other friend who is in the triathalon for team in training. It was very successful I would say. I know I had fun doing it. Although, like usual I was shy at first till I started to get going.

My mom rode!

My mother Jennifer Lang rode her bike 15 miles on saturday. It was just training though, the ride was with the whole Chicago area Team in Training. It was her first outdoor training! She rode on her brand new bike. It was an awesome weekend for me, because while she was at her bike ride training I got to go to my cousins. We convinced her to let me stay the night there.

Ok, so my mom went to do another fundraiser outside of the same Jewel a few days ago.
I couldn't make it there with her because I was at a baseball practice, but I do know my cousin Kelsey went out to help her. At the end of the trip my moms old friend, who is also raising money but instead is doing the triathalon not biking around Lake Tahoe, Eleni came down to check out how the Jewel tag days were, to see if she wanted to participate in one.

I hope to go with my mom again soon!
